An Indian wedding is colorful, chaotic, has a lot ceremonial elements, but it also fills the day with a sense of humor. As a photographer or filmmaker, it is truly a joy to attend. The above images depict two scenes that always result in a lot of hilarity.
-Hiding the shoes.
During the wedding ceremony, the groom takes off his shoes before entering the mandap (the wedding altar). These shoes are often left unattended.
The friends and family members of the bride try to steal or hide the groom's shoes while he is busy with the wedding rituals. After the ceremony, the groom wants to put his shoes back on, but "the bride's side" naturally demands a ransom. Afterall, you cannot continue shoe-less. Hilarious negotiations ensue before the couple can continue their program.
-Finding the ring.
With this game, it is determined between the bride and groom, who will be leading the marriage. A ring is hidden in a container filled with water and various other ingredients. The rule is simple: find the ring as quickly as possible. The person who retrieves it from the water first wins.
